Anette Jablonski (coming soon)

My name is Annette, I am 38 years old and I am a passionate artist.
Despite my physical disability, which ties me to the e-wheelchair every day and makes me dependent on outside help, I lead a nice and varied life.
I have friends, go or rather drive to parties, carry out my projects and dedicate myself to my art. Painting has become much more than an ordinary pastime.
In my studio I create my dream worlds, which can reach and touch more and more people. The encaustic technique allows me to express myself creatively, to communicate and to get in touch. Through it, I can participate in life as a full member of society, be taken seriously and perhaps even be an inspiration to many other people with disabilities.
Over the years, I have almost become a kind of fixture in Düsseldorf’s old town, recognized and seen.
The value of my art does not lie in the amount of work or the time it takes to create it.
It also does not lie in its marketing and cannot be determined with investment costs.
The value lies in what is behind it – in the message that I live out into the world.
There is always a way!

Antonia Prinz (she/her)

In her tragicomic still lifes and interior scenarios, Antonia puts everyday objects in a strange light. The things we surround ourselves with every day take on a life of their own and tell their own stories. They create an inner cosmos, melancholic with a humorous wink. She relates the painted images to found objects and objects. The space is the content of the picture and the picture becomes a design element for the space.
Antonia studies liberal arts at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

Ardelle Schneider (coming soon)

hello, my name is ardelle. I’m studying
photography for a master’s degree at the
folkwang university of the arts in essen,
germany.

Ava Amira Weis (they/them)

Ava Weis is a photographer, poet, artist, journalist, lecturer and curator.
In their artistic work, they deal with bodies, structures and feelings, both photographically and in writing, usually in fragmentary form, juxtaposing closeness and clarity with the dark and abysmal, searching for longings and attraction, exploring secrecy and vulnerability.
In 2021 Ava realized the twelve-month art project “12|21”, where they created a new project each month with other artists and were, among other things, the artistic director for an evening at the “Sound of the City” festival of the Wuppertal Opera.
Their journalistic work appears in Missy Magazine, Bücher Magazin, Fixpoetry, engels, trailer, Fischpott and Separée, among others.
In addition, they give courses in photography, film and writing at the Junior Uni Wuppertal.
They organize exhibitions in Utopiastadt as a volunteer, were a bouncer for Yaya e.V. and active in the Freie Netz Werk Kultur.
They studied Philosophy, Oriental Studies and Protestant Theology at the Ruhr-Uni Bochum and African Studies, Dutch Studies, Philosophy, Islamic Studies and Indology at the University of Cologne. The focus was on art, literature and gender studies.

Cora Daams (she/her)

Cora is 37 years old, feels she does not belong to any gender category and has long been fighting against patriarchal oppression and violence – and with their effects.
For her, making art is an outlet, a healthy distraction, a gentle caress to her battered soul.
Because with her complex post-traumatic stress disorder, art is more than a hobby for her, it’s self-care.
It is not so much the result that is important to her, or a professional standard, but the process of creation itself. Putting color on paper, putting line next to line puts parts of her soul back together and brings her peace and healing.
More of her very different works (paintings, drawings, illustrations, prints) can be found on Instagram under the name Cora Glitzer and can also be purchased.

Darj (they/them)

I am a non-binary international watercolor artist with German and Angolan heritage. As I have difficulties differentiating and describing my emotions verbally, I use art as a means of expressing myself non-verbally. My favorite medium is watercolor but I always like to try new things such as digital art, clay modeling and acrylics. My style is quite versatile because I am not fond of restricting myself to a singular technique or motive.

Elena Landschützer (she/her)

H. Ascan Sue Delarber (they/them, he/him)

Cologne-based artist and musician Hermes Ascan Sue Delarber explores different forms of queer representation and explores radical vulnerability through newfound bodily expression. As a chronically ill, non-binary trans* person, Ascan stands up against unequal distributions of resources in the art and music industries, addressing living in a society whose foundations are based on heteronormative, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, and racist structures.

Iezees Abou Hatab (she/her)

The body as a medium of encounter with self and other is central to both the visual and performative practice of Iezees Abou Hatab.
In the medium of painting, video and performance, the female body with all its bodily sensibilities, anxieties and subtleties is examined, questioned and re-exposed. In doing so, she repeatedly encounters moments of friction and disruption. For through the conscious alienation and fragmentation of her own body, she opens up a space for a constructed world, which can be honest, absurd and painful at the same time.

Luki von der Gracht (she/her)

Luki von der Gracht’s artistic work is genre-bending and includes written and spoken word, collage, performance, photography, drawing, painting, video and installation. In the centre of their artistic research is the human being with it’s past, present and future. It’s imagination, emotion and destination. Luki von der Gracht provides a space for awareness, presence, perspective and inspiration. A big part of their work is the search for community, identity and purpose. How do you find this place, build it up and protect it? Who discriminates against who? How can you question and break through society’s power structures? Who makes the rules? What is the power of the artistic gesture? In form of a poem, protest or hope.

Maya Stiller (she/her)

Maya is 23 years old and studies political science. In her works she explores the tension between art and politics and tries to capture social conditions and political processes. Criticism of prevailing conditions plays an important role, especially from a feminist perspective. In her illustrations and graphics, she addresses bodies and diversity in the context of social processes and political struggles. A contrast to her colorful illustrations are works that are dedicated to the dark and unfathomable in people, the body and the social construction of body feelings. One can follow this contrast on her Instagram. All works are for sale on demand, as well as prints of her illustrations.

Nora Kraska (she/her)

I graduated in spring 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in communication design with a focus on illustration from HS Düsseldorf. The main focus of my work is on people in all their social and societal tensions. I find that our society needs lower-threshold approaches – to difficult and complex topics, to feelings. For me, illustration creates the possibility to talk about topics without having to find words for them.
